Barry Kirshner Wildlife Sanctuary

Hello CORE family,

We are going on a field trip to the Barry Kirshner Wildlife Sanctuary on Friday, October 15, 2021.

The Barry Kirshner Wildlife Foundation and Sanctuary was founded in 1994 and through the use of education and conservation programs, they provide the public with knowledge and the importance of ensuring responsibility, education and preservation of the endangered and exotic animals in their care. The sanctuary is home to some 60 different animals.

CORE students are invited to attend this field trip free of charge. Parents and non-CORE siblings are $7.00 each. You are encouraged to pack a lunch, plenty of water (drinks) and enjoy a picnic while you watch the reptile show.

So prepare to see lions, tigers and bears oh my! The sanctuary is located on 4995 Durham-Pentz Road outside of Oroville off Highway 70. Please be 15 minutes early (9:30AM) since the 2-hour tour begins right at 9:45AM.

Permission slips are due Monday, October 11th by noon.
